Patisserie Continues Honey Story with New Indulgent Sha Tin Cheesecake Duo

Creative honey and matcha flavours will tantalise tastebuds

HONG KONG (March, 2017) – In celebration of Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin’s eighth anniversary, Patisserie will continue the Sha Tin honey story by introducing its newest indulgences made with quality local ingredients: Sha Tin honey cheesecakes and green tea-wasabi cheesecakes, both of which will make for ideal teatime treats or get-together delights.

Eight years ago while hiking in Sha Tin, Pastry Chef Kelvin Lai discovered the Wing Wo Apiary near the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery. Since then, he has used natural honey from this apiary to create Patisserie’s popular Sha Tin Apple Pie and Sha Tin Honey Cake. In continuation of this honey story and in celebration of the hotel’s eighth anniversary, Chef Lai has created these two creamy, creatively flavoured, velvet-smooth cheesecakes.

Made with pure honey, the Sha Tin honey cheesecake offers an intense flavour and a floral aroma that is truly refreshing. The green tea-wasabi cheesecake is made with matcha green tea from Kyoto, Japan, savoury seaweed, pure honey and a hint of spicy wasabi, all blended with smooth cream cheese for a sensational experience.

A box of one Sha Tin honey cheesecake and one green tea-wasabi cheesecake is now available at a special price of HK$88 (original price HK$108).
